Holiday home
Cal Gerani is the grandparents' house that we have converted into a holiday home. It is located in Rabós d'Empordà, a quiet and beautiful village, surrounded by nature that gives us the Albera Place. A landscape that lets us walk among holm oaks and brooms, vineyards and olive groves. Sitting at the foot of the mountain, it takes us only 20 minutes to the beaches of Roses and in 35 minutes you can walk through the emblematic streets of the town of Cadaqués. Also, near Figueres where you can visit the Salvador Dalí Museum or the Toy Museum, the delight of the little ones. Rabós, a village where in a few minutes you can cross the Albera mountain and be on the other side of the border to visit the coastal villages of the neighboring country. A place where you can enjoy a lot of hiking trails that you will share with dolmens and menhirs and where you will immerse yourself in the history of the Monastery of Sant Quirze de Colera, an architectural example of the Romanesque that you can not miss during your stay. And although Cal Gerani does not enjoy the typical characteristics of the Casas Rabosinques, it contrasts with the benefits it offers you. Because we wanted you not to miss any comfort during your stay and that is why we have tried to equip it with everything you need so that you have a comfortable and quiet holiday. So we want you to feel at home and enjoy a few days of relaxation in the Alt Empordà, in a village surrounded by history and landscape.
The House
You will find Cal Gerani in the Plaça del Pou Nou in Rabós d'Empordà. The house consists of three fully equipped floors, with outdoor patio and a roof where you can enjoy some time outdoors.

Refurbished kitchen equipped with refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove. We also have small appliances such as nespresso capsule coffee maker, toaster, mini-pimper, juicer. Equipped with everything you need to cook with plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, etc ...
Dining room-living room
In our dining room you will find a bespoke table where you can sit together to enjoy your meals. You can also spend time on the comfortable sofa where you can relax watching TV or just have a chat.

The house of Cal Gerani is equipped with three bathrooms with shower and two service bathrooms.

Games room
On the ground floor you will enjoy fun times for young and old. Ping-pong table, reading area, board games area and interactive area.
Outdoor areas
On both the first and second floors you can go outside and enjoy the great outdoors.
On the first floor you will find an outdoor patio equipped with barbecue, fireplace to cook good pans and table and chairs to eat all together.
On the top floor of the house you can relax outside on the terrace and soaking up the sun while sitting in the chillout area.
What to do?
Visit the family olive mill
Just 20-25 minutes from Rabós, in Vilafant, near Figueres, you can visit the family oil mill, where oil has been produced since 1947.
An experience to discover the world of oil up close, walk among olive trees, learn about the traditional and current olive press, and understand in a simple way how oil has been made over time, with an oil tasting and an appetizer.
Cellars
You have come to the ideal area if what you want is to take a route to meet new winemakers. In the village itself you can find different wineries where you can start your wine adventure.
Hiking trails
Rabós is surrounded by nature. You will be able to enjoy different routes to walk between nature and discover the dolmens and menhirs of its term.
Beaches
If you want to enjoy the sea you will not have to travel much as 20 minutes from the village you will find the beaches of Roses. In a few minutes you can turn off to the beaches of Llançà and if you prefer to visit the emblematic village of Cadaquès.
Architectural monuments
In the town of Rabós you can visit the Monastery of Sant Quirze de Colera, a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture. The village church is also a good place to take a look and take the opportunity to contemplate the views from its viewpoint.
Museums
In Figueres there is a must-see, if you have never seen it, at the Dalí Museum. In the city you will also find the Empordà Museum and the Toy Museum. In Púbol you can visit the house of Gala and Salvador Dalí
Other places to visit
You can travel to Sant Pere de Roda and visit its Monastery, go to Castelló d'Empúries (a town that still retains much of its medieval history), you can walk through the wetlands of the Empordà and contemplate the wonder of nature , you can also make your way to the castle of Recasens, ... among many other things
